The folks at the Reuters are reporting that the search giant Google is all set to launch its next generation Nexus 7 tablet powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processor in July this year. As per the report, the latest version of Nexus 7 will support higher screen resolution and will come in thinner bezel design. The company is also expecting to sell more than 8 million units of the Asustek-made Nexus 7 tablets in the 2nd half of this year.
Google in association with Asus had launched its first tablet Nexus 7 in June last year. The original Nexus 7 was powered by Nvidia Tegra 3 processor. Now the company has selected Qualcomm Snapdragon processor over Nvidia Tegra 4 processor keeping power reasons in mind.
As far as the pricing is concerned, as per the one of the sources of Reuters, Google Nexus 7 will be priced aggressively beginning $199 like the first-generation model, but remember it’s just a speculation as there is no official word on it.
In related news, Asus India has also announced the launch of 3G and 32GB Wi-Fi versions of Nexus 7 tablets in the country, where it will go on sale via retailer stores from next week.
