LG has revealed that it has sold more than 500,000 units of its flagship Optimus G Pro in South Korea alone since its debut. The smartphone was introduced at Mobile World Congress this year and went on sale in South Korea from mid-February. The company has taken almost 40 days to reach this feat. It has also admitted that it sold more than 10,000 units of the phone on the very first day of sale in the country.
LG Optimus G Pro comes with a 5.5-inch huge FHD display with 1920x1080p resolution, 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm APQ 8064 processor, Adreno 320 GPU, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, 2GB RAM. 13MP rear camera equipped with BSI sensor and LED flash support, 2MP front camera, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth. It is powered by 3,140mAh battery.
The company is also scheduled to include the Smart Video and dual-camera functionality like Samsung Galaxy S IV to the phone through a new software update, which is expected to be rolling out soon in coming days. The company has also announced the launch of the smartphone in North America and Japan where it is scheduled to be available starting this month.
