Amazon is reportedly looking forward to launch a low cost Kindle Fire tablet this year. The tablet is said to be priced $99 and will support 7-inch display. With this $99 tablet, Amazon seems to be planning to target tablet arena, which is dominated by low-cost Android tablets often sold at the sub-$100 price point.
As per the Techcrunch, the source of the information, Amazon’s this $99 tablet will be powered by the processor made by Texas Instruments, and the display will have 1280x800p resolution, similar to Kindle Fire HD.
At the moment, there is no official comment on the report and at the same time, no exact launch date has been mentioned, but we predict that the company would launch this cheap tablet during 2nd half this year along with the next generation Kindle Fire tablets.
