Taking its association with Intel to the next level, Asus is now reportedly all set to launch a new smartphone powered by Intel’s latest dual-core Atom Z2580 Clover Trail+ mobile processor, if a report published in Digitimes is to be believed. It’s worth remembering that Asus in partnership with Intel had launched Fonepad featuring Android 4.1 and Intel Atom Z2420 processor during recently concluded MWC exhibition. It appears that the company is now planning to enter in to mainstream market with this smartphone.
As per the publication, the device is expected to be arrived in early June this year featuring 5.5-inch display. Other specs of the alleged device are not clear yet, but hope to see it with Android 4.1 and 1GB RAM. Looks like, with this Intel processor powered device, Asus is planning to target phablet markets across the globe.
It should also be noted that, Lenovo has already officially announced K900, the first phablet powered by the Intel dual-core Atom Z2580 Clover Trail+ processor, which is going to be available in China from next month.
