After announcing the Xperia Tablet Z in Japan first, Sony has now announced the launch of the tablet in India. Actually the Xperia Tablet Z has been announced alongside Xperia Z and Xperia ZL, both 5-inch Android Jelly Bean smartphones powered by 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, in the country. As per the company, Sony Xperia Z will hit the stores starting May this year with unknown price.

As far as the specs of the tablet are concerned, as surfaced in Twitter, it features 10.1-inch (1920 x 1200 pixels) Reality display, Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), 1.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm APQ8064 processor, 2GB RAM, 16 GB storage, LTE support, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, 60000 mAh battery alongside water-resistant (IPX5/7) and dust proof (IP5X) durable display. The tablet is said to be completely developed by Sony Mobile rather than Sony.
