After announcing the launch of flagship Xperia Z phablet for Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and South East Asia, Sony is now going to launch it in India on March 6, 2013. This information has been revealed through official Facebook page of the company, where it has posted a teaser with the caption Everything is about to change followed by the alleged date.
Sony Xperia Z was primarily showcased at CES event back in January this year and the company started announcing it gradually for the global markets after that. Featuring 5-inch full HD display, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage, it is touted as the flagship smartphone of the company.
It also packs microSD card slot, 13MP rear camera and 2MP front camera, NFC, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth . The smartphone is powered by a 2330 mAh removable battery.
At the moment, there is no official word on its pricing, but if the rumors are to be believed, it will be priced at 45,500, similar to HTC Butterfly, in the country.
