ZTE has released its first Firefox OS powered ZTE Open, which is an entry-level smartphone aimed at price conscious customers. Apart from Firefox OS, it apparently features 3.5-inch (480×320 pixels) capacitive touch screen display. In terms of hardware, ZTE Open comes equipped with 1GHz MSM7225A Snapdragon S1 processor, 256MB RAM and 512MB of internal memory.
It also includes 3.2MP fixed focus rear camera and is powered by 1200 mAh battery. Connectivity features of the device include WiFi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1. It also has a GPS, with AGPS for seamless navigation.
There is no word on pricing yet and as per the company, ZTE Open would be first available from Telefónica in Spain, Venezuela and Colombia in mid-2013.
