After unveiling the Asus FonePad at MWC, Asus has also announced the launch of Padfone infinity, a Android 4.1 Jelly Bean based phablet featuring 5-inch (1920×1080 pixels) IPS display. Powered by 1.7 GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 Processor with Adreno 320 GPU, 2GB RAM and 64GB internal memory, it is touted as the successor of Padfone 2 launched couple of months back last year.
On the imaging front, the Padfone Infinity includes a 2MP front facing camera and a monster 13 MP rear camera with LED flash support, which is capable of recording 1080p HD videos even in the low light.
It comes packed in a metallic body along with a Padfone station dock with a 10.1-inch (1920×1080 pixels) display with anti-finger print coating. The Padfone infinity is powered by dual battery that includes 2000 mAh battery in phone, and 5000 mAh battery in Padfone station dock.
Connectivity features of the Padfone Infinity include 4G LTE / 3G (HSDPA+ 21 Mbps) , WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, NFC, aGPS and GLONASS.
As per the company, it is priced at 999 Euros (approx. USD $1325) and will be available globally fro April 2013.
