As expected earlier, Asus finally made rumored FonePad tablet with Intel processor official at MWC in Barcelona. The tablet was in limelight from past few days because of the Intel processor inside, and just 3-4 days ago, it was spotted in Global Certification Forum website, where it was arrived for testing.

Asus FonePad runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean platform and is powered by 1.2 GHz Intel Atom Z2420 processor, 1GB RAM and 4270 mAh battery. It has 7-inch (1280x800p) IPS display and supports 3G and voice calling. It comes in two version 8GB and 16GB. The tablet also includes 3MP rear camera, 1.2MP front camera and microSD card slot.

Apart from these prominent specs, Asus FonePad also comes with dual microphones for Noise cancellation and echo suppression. The SonicMaster audio technology with MaxxAudio 3 processing by Waves provides clear, well-rounded sound quality. It comes with exclusive Floating App for easy management of running apps and simpler multi-tasking, SuperNote lite for handwritten notes and drawing, and 5GB of free lifetime ASUS WebStorage.

As per the company, It will be available in titanium gray and champagne gold colors and will start rolling out from March 2013 this year. It is priced at $249 for the 8GB version with rear camera in the US. The 16GB version of the tablet without rear camera would be available in European markets for 219 Euros.
