HP has announced the launch of an Android Jelly Bean based tablet at MWC exhibition in Barcelona. Dubbed as HP Slate 7, it is priced at USD $169.

Talking about the specs, HP Slate 7 comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, 1.6GHz dual-core Cortex A9 processor, 1GB RAM and 8GB internal memory out of the box. It has 7-inch capacitive touch screen display with 1024 x 600 pixels resolution. The display of the tablet features HFFS panel that provides wide viewing of contents.

Additionally, it features built-in Beats Audio support and comes packed in stainless-steel frame. It is equipped with 3MP rear camera, VGA front camera and HP ePrint apps that enables you to take print on the go directly from most applications. Connectivity options of the device include Wi-Fi and micro USM port. It also has a microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 32 GB.

It would be available in soft black paint back in gray or red colors and will be available in US starting April followed by remaining markets across the globe.
