LG has finally announced the launch of its new Optimus F-series smartphones Optimus F5 and F7, both Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean based smartphones with 4G LTE support. As per the company, Optimus F5 will first go on sale in the second quarter in Europe, followed soon by the Optimus F7 in selected markets.

In terms of specs, LG Optimus F5 has 4.3-inch (960×540 pixels) IPS display and comes equipped with 1.2 GHz dual-core processor along with 1GB RAM, 8GB internal memory, 2150mAh battery, 5MP rear auto-focus camera and 1.3MP front camera.

As far as Optimus F7 is concerned, it comes packed with 4.7-inch True HD IPS display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 2GB RAM, 8 GB of internal storage and 2540 mAh battery. It also features 8MP auto-focus rear camera, and 1.3MP front camera and microSD card slot along with the usual set of connectivity options.

Apart from Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and 4G LTE support, both the smartphones come preloaded with features such as QSlide, Live Zooming, QuickMemo, QTranslator, Video Wiz, Safety Care and more. Connectivity options of both the smartphones include 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS.

As per the company, both the smartphones will be available in black and white color options. The company is scheduled to showcase both the smartphones in upcoming MWC exhibition next week in Barcelona, where it would reveal more information along with their pricing and exact availability.
