Not long time before, we reported that Asus is planning to launch a tablet in association with Intel. At that time, we were not sure whether it will be named as Fonepad or ME371MG, but now it’s all clear. The alleged device will now come having the name Asus Fonepad.

The source of this confirmation is Global Certification Forum website, where the device has been spotted for certification. Now we ‘re looking forward to see the tablet launching at forthcoming MWC exhibition next week in Barcelona.

As per the earlier leaks, the Asus Fonepad, is said to feature 7-inch 7-inch IPS display with 1280x800p resolution, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, 1.2GHz Intel Atom Z2420 processor, 1GB RAM, 3MP rear camera, 1.2MP front camera, microSD card slot and 4270 mAh battery on-board. The tablet will also have voice calling ability.
