Yesterday, LG revealed that its Optimus L-series smartphones have crossed 15 millions worldwide shipment since their debut last year. The company shared the secret just a day after it made new line-up of Optimus L-Series II smartphones official, which are scheduled to be showcased at MWC 2013 in Barcelona.

The Korean manufacturer also cited that last two month are quite well for the company as far as overall selling of L-series smartphones are concerned. Since the last two months, company has been selling at least one L-series smartphone every second and it estimates that it will further ramp up to 45 millions this year because of the addition of next generation Optimus L-series II smartphones.

Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of LG’s mobile business quoted:

The success of the Optimus L Series is testament to our belief all along that there is indeed a market for well-balanced smartphones that represent individuals’ unique tastes.

The new Optimus L SeriesII expands upon the design philosophy of the original series so we’re quite confident that we’ll have another hit on our hands
