Lava has announced the launch of Etab Xtron, its first Android Jelly Bean powered tablet in India. The tablet is officially priced at INR Rs.6,770, but it’s available in market with a price tag of INR Rs.6,499.

The Lava Etab Xtron looks quite impressive on paper in comparison of other tablets under 7K with the features like Android Jelly Bean, 1.5 GHz dual-core Cortex A9 processor with Mali-400 quad-core GPU and 1GB RAM as most of the manufacturers are still shipping tablets with Android 4.0 and 1GHz processor and 512MB RAM at this price. It has 7-inch IPS display with 1024x600p resolution, 8GB internal memory, 2MP front camera and is powered by 3500 mAh battery.

Lava Etab Xtron will be competing with Acer Iconia B1-A71 launched couple of weeks back, that features 7-inch WSVGA (1,024 x 600) capacitive touch screen display, dual-core 1.2GHz processor (MTK 8317T), 512MB DDR3 RAM, 8GB internal memory and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on-board.
