Acer has announced a new mid-range Android smartphone Liquid E1 in India. The company which is popularly known for making Laptops and PCs had launched its first smartphone Acer Liquid back in 2010 and now it seems that the company is planning to offer more smartphones at affordable prices.

Specs-wise Acer Liquid E1 boasts a 4.5-inch touchscreen display with 540 x 960 pixels resolution and runs on Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean platform. It is apparently powered by 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 4GB of internal memory and 1,760 mAh battery rated to offer 8 hours of talk time.

Other specifications of the Liquid E1 include 5-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front camera. For connectivity, it supports 4G LTE, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0. This smartphone weighs 130 grams and measures 132 x 68.5 x 9.9 mm. It also comes with microSD slot that let you to expand the media storage up to 32GB. Apart from popular useful Android apps like Facebook, Gmail,Twitter etc, it also comes preloaded with Acer’s own DTS-ready video and music apps for enhanced and better music output.

There is no word regarding its price and availability yet, but we expect that the company will showcase the smartphone along with some new contenders in upcoming MWC event in Barcelona next month.
