Sony has finally announced the launch of its much-awaited Xperia Tablet Z in Japan. It will be available in Japan this spring in Black and White colors, mostly on Japanese carrier NTT DOCOMO. The specs of the tablet was leaked few days earlier in a tweet on Twitter.
Sony Xperia Tablet Z is just 6.9mm in thickness and it is one of the slimmest tablet to be announced. Talking about the other specs, it features 10.1-inch (1920 x 1200 pixels) WUXGA display, Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), 1.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm APQ8064 processor, 2GB RAM, 32 GB storage, LTE support, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, 60000 mAh battery alongside water-resistant (IPX5/7) and dust proof (IP5X) body. It is the first tablet which is completely developed by Sony Mobile rather than Sony.
There is still no word about its price and availability in other markets yet, but we hope that it will be available globally before first half of 2013.
