It seems that Sony is all set to release a new tablet called Xperia Tablet Z soon in the market. Although the tablet is still to be confirmed by the company, but the specs of the slate has been captured on Twitter and if the tweets are to be believed, Sony Xperia Tablet Z would feature 10.1-inch (1920 x 1200 pixels) WUXGA display, Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), 1.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm APQ8064 processor, 2GB RAM, 32 GB storage, LTE support, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, 60000 mAh battery alongside water-resistant (IPX5/7) and dust proof (IP5X) body.
As per the Xperia Blog, the tablet will be available in black and white colors along with the codenames Pollux c690X in the west and SO-03E for NTT DoCoMo in Japan. Moreover it has been said that the Sony Xperia Tablet Z is the first tablet which is being completely developed by Sony Mobile rather than Sony, which developed the previous tablets. Therefore, the design signature and UI should be much more similar to Sony’s smartphones going forward. There is no image of Xperia Tablet Z found in the leak.
