At CES-2013, Apart from NVIDIA and Qualcomm, the global mobile manufacturer Samsung has also announced its new mobile processor called Exynos 5 Octa. As per the company, it has 8 cores comprised of two sets of four cores: ARM Cortex-A15 and Cortex-A7 and is designed with ARM’s big.LITTLE technology which lets it switch off cores when not required to maximize battery life resulting in up to 70% gains over previous generation mobile CPU. It offers much better 3D gaming experiences compared to its own Exynos 5 Dual mobile chip and others.
It is expected that Samsung will now use this Exynos 5 Octa mobile chip to power its high-end smartphones as the company is now looking forward to make multitasking on mobile devices a pleasant experience.
