NVIDIA has announced Tegra 4, the next generation mobile and tablet processor at CES 2013 in Las Vegas. As per the company, the Tegra 4 processor is the faster and superior in comparison with any processor available in the market right now.
The Tegra 4 processor comprises of 72 GPUs and 4 ARM Cortex-A15 cores and also has an optional 4G LTE chipset. NVIDIA claims that the Tegra 4 is the world’s fastest mobile processor as it takes only 24 seconds to load 25 unique web pages which is twice faster than Nexus 10. Tegra 4 has been designed with 28 nm (40 nm in case of Tegra 3) manufacturing process and contains a second generation battery saver core for low power consumption during standard use. As per the companty, Tegra 4 powered devices consume up to 45 percent less power than its predecessor in “common use cases”.
Moreover, the Tegra 4 processor is also equipped with 4K or ultra-high-def support, which means Tegra 4-powered devices will be able to play content that carries four-times the quality of full-HD.
