Samsung has added a new member in its Galaxy family with the announcement of the launch of Galaxy Grand today. It’s a mid-range smartphone featuring 5-inch WVGA display, 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, latest Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS and 2,100 mAh battery.

It also comes with 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera and 8GB of internal memory (further expandable to 64GB via a microSD memory card). The smartphone supports Samsung’s Multi Window mode of operation enabling users to run two apps on the screen simultaneously.

As per the Samsung, the Galaxy Grand is equipped with all the features like Direct Call, Smart Alert, Popup Video, Multi-Windows & S Voice, which were first seen in Galaxy S III or Note II.

Samsung Galaxy Grand will be available in two variants- single SIM and dual-SIM, but according to the company, the dual-SIM version of Galaxy Grand will arrive first in the market for sale. There are no further details available regarding its price and exact availability yet.
