Walmart, the popular American multi-national retailer and the world’s third largest public corporation, has started selling Apple iPhone 5 at a great discount in thousands of its stores across USA. The retailer has revealed that it is selling 16GB version of iPhone 5 for $127, whose original price is $189.97. The price is valid with a two-year contract from wireless carriers Verizon, Sprint and AT&T.
According to the retailer, it is also offering great discounts on 16 GB version of iPhone 4S as well as iPad, which is equipped with Retina display and Wi-Fi. At the 3,000 of Wal-Mart’s stores, which are not available online, 16 GB iPad is available starting at $399, down from $499 and 16GB iPhone 4S is up for grab for $47, versus an original price of $89.97. This offers will be valid for 30 days.
For those who’re not aware, Apple iPhone 5 was launched on September 21, 2012 in USA and the device arrived in India on November 2, 2012, but even before the arrival, the iPhone 5 was available in India and was being grey-marketed at a price more than Rs.1,00,000 per unit and still there was no scarcity of buyers.
