HTC has officially unveiled the GSM variant of HTC J Butterfly launched in Japan two months back in October. Dubbed as HTC Butterfly, the smartphone previously leaked as Deluxe DLX, but now it is going to become the new HTC flagship.
HTC J Butterfly is the company’s as wall as the world’s first flagship smartphone having 1080p display. The newly announced HTC Butterfly has similar specifications as J Butterfly with the exception that it is designed to run on GSM networks worldwide. The smartphone also released on Verizon in the United States with some modifications as the HTC DROID DNA.
Apart from 5-inch Super LCD 3 1920x1080p display with Corning Gorilla Glass 2, HTC Butterfly features Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with HTC 4+ UI, 1.5GHz Qualcomm S4 Pro quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage (expandable by another 32GB), 8-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front camera and is powered by a 2020mAh battery. Connectivity options include HDMI out, Micro-USB, Infrared, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and NFC.
The company has not yet provided any information regarding its price and availability in India, but we look forward to the phone’s debut in the country.
