Google Nexus 7, which has been developed in association with Asus has been announced in India. The tablet termed as “The Gadget of the Year” will go on sale from today. The 7-inch Nexus 7 (16 GB version) has been just spotted in Chroma’s website carrying a price tag of INR Rs.19,999. However the slate is not available in our affiliated retailers including Flipkart, Indiaplaza and Infibeam at the moment, but will be available soon for grab in upcoming few days.

Featuring 7-inch touchscreen display with 280×800 pixels resolution, the Nexus 7 is the world’s first tablet powered by Nvidia Tegra 3 1.3GHz quad-core processor which supports its Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.The Nexus 7 has 1GB RAM and comes in three variants – 8GB, 16GB and 32GB. The tablet was announced in annual Google I/O event held in the month of June this year and shipping of the tablet started in USA from mid July with a price tag of $199 (INR Rs.11,339 approx.) for the 8GB variant and $249 (INR Rs.14,188) for the 16GB variant.
