Samsung has announced the launch of a new high-end Android smartphone under its Galaxy series. Dubbed as Samsung Galaxy Premier, the smartphone features a 4.65-inch super AMOLED HD capacitive touchscreen display with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution and has been powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system supported by a dual-core 1.5 GHz TI OMAP 4470 processor, PowerVR SGX 544 graphics chipset and 1 GB RAM.
The smartphone includes 8 MP primary camera with LED flash on the back, 1.9 MP front camera, Bluetooth, Accelerometer, light sensor, proximity sensor, digital compass and a long lasting 2100 mAh battery. The Samsung Galaxy Premier will be available in 8GB and 16 GB internal media storage variants and both is expandable up to 64 GB via microSD card. Furthermore, the smartphone supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and A-GPS and GLONASS.
The smartphone will arrive in selected markets from next month but there’s a rumor that the phone will arrive in Russia first. However the price of this high-end smartphone is not clear yet but it is expected that it could be in the range of 25,000 to 30,000.
