Huawei and Spice together has launched a new entry level smartphone in India. Dubbed as S Huawei Ascend Y100, the smartphone features 2.8 inch TFT capacitive touch screen display having resolution of 320X240 pixels.
Priced at 5,990, the smartphone runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS and has been powered by a 800 MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM7225A processor along with a 256 MB RAM. The smartphone has been launched integrated with a 3.2 MP fixed focus rear camera, 512MB internal media storage, FM radio, 3.5mm audio jack and has been powered by a marathon 1050 mAh battery rated to offer talk time and standby time up to 5 hours and 300 hours respectively. In terms of connectivity options, the device features Wi-Fi, EDGE/EPRS, Bluetooth and supports 3G connectivity. The smartphone also includes a GPS for seamless navigation. With the purchase of the smartphone, Airtel users can get 500 MB 3G data for 1 month while Aircel users would avail 1GB 3G data for 3 months. It should also be remember that Huawei has already launched two brand new Android 2.3 operated smartphone models Ascend G300 and Y200 back in July this year.
