The popular telecom operator Idea has unveiled a dual-SIM touch screen 3G Android smartphone named Idea Aurus, which will come at a price of INR Rs.7,190 in the Indian market. Running on Android 2.3, Idea Aurus features a 3.5-inch multi-touch display which offers 320×480 pixels of resolution.

To support its Android OS, the smartphone has been powered by 800MHz MediaTek MT6573 processor coupled with 256 MB RAM and 512 ROM. Moreover Idea Aurus includes a 5MP rear camera and a front facing 0.3MP camera which provides the facility of video calling with ease. In spite of the absence of LED flash support, the 5MP rear camera is still capable of clicking and capturing high quality images and videos respectively.

To provide the power to the smartphone, a 1,300 mAh Li-ion battery has been armed with this phone. Measuring 61.84 x 116 x 12.15mm in dimension and having weight of just around 36 grams, Idea Aurus comes with 32 GB of expendable memory support via microSD card.

In terms of connectivity features, the Idea Aurus supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/g/b/n, Bluetooth, 3G, EDGE and GPRS by which you can stay connected with your friends all the day. Many useful apps like Idea App mail – the teleco’s app store, Android Manager, augmented reality app Layar, Currency Converter, photo editor PicSay, Pinball game, Ringdroid, Shazam and social networking apps such as Facebook and Twitter come pre-installed with this smartphone. The smartphone is expected to hit the online retailers soon with the price tag of INR Rs.7,190. With this smartphone Idea is also providing the free 3G services worth INR Rs.2,340 on a recharge of INR Rs.259.
