TIME, the world’s largest circulating weekly news magazine has honored Bollywood super star Aamir Khan by featuring him in the cover page of the magazine’s September issue. To be featured in the TIME’s cover page is itself a matter of proud. He is the only fourth personality from Bollywood after Parveen Babi, Aishwarya Rai and Shahrukh Khan, who has been featured in the magazine’s cover page. Parveen Babi, Aishwarya Rai and Shahrukh Khan were featured in the cover page of TIME in July 1971, 2003 and October2004 respectively.
In the cover page he is looking quite serious with the caption ‘Khan’s Quest. The magazine has certainly recognized him for his prominent contributions against social evils exist in Indian society through Satyamev Jayate. The cover story written by Bobby Singh describes about how Aamir has managed to reach out to an estimated one-third of the country with his TV show that tackled persistent flaws in modern India, which is largely ignored by Indian citizens. It was the miracle of his talk show ‘Satyamev Jayate’ which forced Rajasthan government to set up fast track courts to resolve pending female feticide cases in the state.
