As you know keyboard is an important and essential input device of the computer that we interact frequently with. However cleaning and removing the dust particles from the narrow areas of the keyboard is a tedious task and also the spilling of coffee or tea unfortunately over your keyboard makes you anxious and in some cases the keyboard ceases to work. Although there are so many keyboard cleaning devices are available in the market but there’s no guaranteed way to make the process easy.
But Now Logitech, the popular computer accessories manufacturer has discovered and launched an ultimate and first-of-its-kind keyboard named Logitech K310 that can be washed directly in to the water multiple times by hand if it gets dirty due to either dust, spilling of coffee or tea or something else. This innovative and rugged keyboard can be submerged in water up to 11 inches without any hesitation keeping its USB cable outside the water and then it can be taken out to dry.
Furthermore the company doesn’t recommend water that’s over 50°C (120°F).
Sophie Le Guen, senior director of mice and keyboards at Logitech said:
We’ve all experienced that moment of distraction — followed by panic, when a cup of coffee or a soda spills all over your keyboard. Because life and its messes will happen, regardless of how careful you are, Logitech designed the Logitech Washable Keyboard K310 to look and function like new, even over time.
In order to dry faster, there are drainage holes provided at the back that helps water to come out easily from the keyboard and the characters in the keyboard are laser-printed with an UV coating to prevent fading caused by water damage.
Compatible with Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7, the Logitech Washable K310 keyboard is expected to be available across the United States this month with a suggested retail price tag of $39.99. The keyboard will get its European launch in October.
