Nikon, the leading imaging product manufacturer has just announced an innovative camera running on Android 2.3 operating system, which would be possibly available at a price of USD $350 from next month onward in some countries. However the company didn’t raise the curtain from its India launch yet but it has been expected that it would be available soon after its global launch. Named as Nikon Coolpix S800C, apart from running Android 2.3 Operating system, the innovative camera is equipped Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS that records latitude and longitude, so you can pinpoint the location where each photo was clicked. With this camera you can also download Android apps via Google Play Store just like any Android tablet.

With the new Coolpix S800c, Nikon designed a camera for users looking to capture stunning images and videos with a compact digital camera but also want to share their content with their friends and family in a familiar way.
If we talk about its basic features, Nikon Coolpix S800C features 3.5-inch OLED WVGA touchscreen display, 16 megapixel BSI CMOS sensor and supports 10X optical zoom. The S800c comes with 18 filter effects, including the new Toy Camera effect, Pop and Super Vivid color filters, as well as Cross Process and Peripheral Darkening filters. The camera has been blessed with ‘My Picture Town’ app that allows you to upload images directly to social networking sites and even in cloud storage.
