The popular Chinese telecom device manufacturer ZTE has launched a new smartphone ZTE N880E running on latest version of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating software which was first unveiled on June 27 during Google’s I/O developers conference in San Francisco this year. With this launch ZTE has become the first smartphone manufacturer in China who unveiled Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operated smartphone.
Addressing the launching ceremony, Mr. Kan Yulun, Vice President and CTO of the Handset Division, ZTE said :
ZTE has an excellent relationship with Google and this, combined with our extensive R&D capabilities and our experience of customising devices for partners around the world, means we are able to bring new technologies to market very quickly.Our aim is to provide the best quality customer experience for the best value, and the N880E is a great example of this.
Apart from Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, ZTE N880E features a 4-inch capacitive WVGA touch screen display with resolution of 480 X 800 pixels along with 1GHz Qualcomm 7627A processor coupled with 512 MB RAM. Weighing just 130 gram and having dimension of 119mm x 61mm x 10.4mm, the smartphone includes a 3.2 MP auto-focus camera mounted on the back.
The device has an in-built memory of 4 GB which can be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card and a powerful 1650 mAh Li-ion battery to supply the power. If we talk aboout connectivity features of the device, it supports Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3G, GPRS/EDGE. GPS/aGPS and FM radio.
However company hasn’t disclosed its price and availability of the device in other markets yet but it is expected that the company will announce it soon.
