Bajaj, the 2nd largest two-wheeler manufacturer in India is working
to introduce more KTM superbikes in market as its newly launched KTM Duke 200 has received a excellent response from superbikes lover and recorded an average sales of 1,000 units per month. The company is now avoiding to produce low power commuter bikes and focusing its concentration mainly on developing and building its Discover and Pulsar brands as well as powerful superbikes.
In order to developing and manufacturing poweful and stylish superbikes, Bajaj auto has purchased 47% stake in Austrian firm KTM, the 2nd most largest and popular superbike company in Europe after BMW Motorrad, in 2007. Since then both the firms were working on developing the superbikes and the first result of this joint venture is KTM Duke 125 which is being manufactured by Bajaj in India and is being exported to Europe and Japan.
This joint venture of Bajaj and KTM is now trying to develop various models ranging from 125cc to 375cc and the days are not too far when superbikes lover will get more taste of KTM bikes in India and also they will have more options to select KTM superbikes at affordable prices compared to lot of superbikes available in the market.
