WishTel, the IT products manufacturing company which was the second lowest bidder for the Aakash project has launched a new Ira Thing 2 tablet in the market. The company has designed this tablet as per the required specifications of IIT-Rajasthan under the National Mission on Education, and are being funded by the Ministry of Human Resource, India.
If we talk about specifications of the device, this 7-inch multi-touch capacitive screen and Android 4.0 ICS operated tablet is probably the first device which supports 23 Indian regional languages. Apart from this, it has been incorporated with 1.5GHz processor along with 512MB RAM. The device is pre-loaded with a lot of apps like Google talk, Skype, Google maps and office suit etc. The Ira Thing 2 also includes a TV apps which allows users to access over 120 TV channels across various genres of entertainment like news, movies, regional, fashion, travel, history etc. and its newspaper apps enables users to read news from 80 multi-linguistic newspaper published in India.
The device is available with an internal storage of 4GB which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card, a 1.3MP front facing camera capable of accepting and displaying a high-definition signal at 1080p using a component video or digital input, and a powerful 3000mAh battery which offers 4-5 hours of browsing time in a single charge.
The device supports Wi-Fi and several 3G data cards which enable you to connect the world through Internet. Here I am providing the list of various 3G data card supported by Ira Thing 2 tablet.
