The popular handset manufacturer Motorola has launched two mid-range smartphones- Defy XT and Defy Mini in Indian market. The special feature of these smartphones is their water-resistant body and Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 series processor. These two smartphone has been designed specially keeping in mind Indian users and environment. Both of these smartphone have been powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating software with the MotoSwitch 2.0 user interface.
Motorola Defy Mini
Apart from powered by Android 2.0, the Motorola Defy Mini is a dual-sim water-resistant, scratch-resistant and even dust proof designed smartphone. It features a 3.2-inch touchscreen display with 320×480 pixel resolution and has 512 MB RAM and 512 MB ROM.
The Panel of Defy Mini has been made by using Corning Gorilla Glass technology to provide enough strength to it. Other features of Defy Mini includes a modest 3 megapixel camera with flash and a front facing camera for video calling, Bluetooth 2.1, FM Radio with RDS, micro SD card slot, GPS, DLNA support and having a powerful 1650 mAh battery that offers talk time up to 9 hours.
Motorola Defy XT
It features a 3.7-inch touchscreen display supporting 480×854 pixel resolution and constructed using the Corning Gorilla Glass technology for strength. It has been powered by a single core 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 MSM7227A mobile processor with 512 MB RAM and 1 GB ROM. This device runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread and also features the MotoSwitch 2.0 user interface.
It is preloaded with Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi, GPS, Assisted-GPS, digital compass,DLNA support. and a 1650 mAh lithium polymer battery that promises up to 9.5 hours of talk time and up to 20 days of stand by time. Like Defy Mini it also comes with IP67 Standard certification for being water-resistant, scratch-resistant and dust proof.
The Motorola Defy XT will be available at affordable price of 16, 190 in Indian market while Defy Mini wil be priced 11, 490. Both the smartphones are expected to be available across the country from June 20 onwards.
